We are a non-profit group of active citizens dedicated to transforming Toronto’s energy system by bringing forward practical and cost efficient solutions.

Our vision?

Toronto’s electrical power needs are met by conservation, efficiency, and clean, green, small-scale generation distributed at the local level.

Formed in 2007 to oppose a new high-voltage transmission line scheduled to run through east Toronto’s residential communities, we know there are better ways for the Ontario Power Authority to invest the $600 million needed to build this line.

We also know there are much smarter ways to meet Toronto’s broader electricity needs.

We are committed to creating a healthy energy system that is: 

• New, clean and renewable

• Community focused and sustainable

• Energy and cost efficient

• Owned and distributed locally

We advocate, educate and take action for positive change.
